jos boursJos Bours (1946) studied Dutch literature in Nijmegen before changing to an M.A. study in Theatre and Dramaturgy at Utrecht University, from which he graduated in 1973. While teaching dramaturgy at the Utrecht theatre academy, in 1977 he co-founded Stut Theatre in Utrecht and has been its artistic director and main playwight ever since. He is the author of over 50 plays and several books on Stut’s community theatre experiences, including A Never Ending Source: How a Playwright Sought and Found Inspiration in Utrecht’s Working-Class Neighbourhoods (2005). Some of his most recent plays are ‘In the Name of the Fathers’ and ‘Family a la Turca’.
